Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) Assessment
Indoor Environmental Quality and occupant comfort is a major issue for building owners and managers. Occupants, guests, or tenants demand an environment that is comfortable, and they are increasingly becoming aware of issues that can be a threat to human health. Regular environmental monitoring of specific comfort parameters is valuable for demonstrating environmental performance and ensuring IEQ. Building IEQ Comfort Checks are a service of EHS’s Building Environment Solutions.

EHS performs basic indoor environmental checks to assess indoor air quality and environmental performance. IEQ comfort checks are generally performed quarterly. Basic environmental checks performed include particle counting, temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide.
These basic indicators of indoor environmental quality are compared to recommended guidelines (e.g., ASHRAE, EPA, IAQA, CDC) to demonstrate environmental performance. Regular monitoring is an invaluable tool for benchmarking facility environmental performance and to demonstrate comfort to stakeholders and occupants.
