Once through cooling water removes heat from surface condensers and for service water applications in the electric power generation industry. 3D TRASAR® for Once Through Cooling prevents operational problems — scale, corrosion and microbial fouling — and minimizes Total Cost of Operation.
Every cooling system operates under stress. When stress is too high, operational problems — scale, corrosion, microbial growth or macro fouling — result. System users rarely have control of the sources of changing stress. Factors like variation in cooling water chemistry, ambient temperatures, bio-activity drought conditions, excessive rainfall, algae blooms, or agricultural runoff of suspended solids influence the the potential for an operational problem to occur.
3D TRASAR for once through cooling systems measures key system parameters related to system stress. It detects changes, responds with appropriate corrective action and communicates this information with system operators. By managing a once through cooling system based on the stresses placed upon it, 3D TRASAR prevents operational problems and minimizes Total Cost of Operation (TCO).
