New Case Study - PARETO Saves 75,000 Gallons/Day at UCFS Operation
A UCFS papermaking operation in Asia Pacific needed to improve its machine productivity and On-Machine Efficiency (OME). In order to provide long-term process stability, the plant needed their wet-end chemistry program to be managed differently by controlling tray consistency.
This mill determined that Nalco’s PARETO™ Mixing Technology would be an ideal fit to meet their needs. Through utilizing this technology, it enabled the retention system additives to be dosed to the furnish post-screen.
With the implementation of PARETO Mixing Technology, water savings of more than 75,000 gallons/day were achieved. Additionally, wet-end breaks were reduced by 32 percent, and the overall wet-end chemistry program was determined to be more robust with a 38 percent improvement in performance.
