Data Centers

Our Data Center Group focuses on guaranteeing reliability in your water system operations. As a key success factor for all Data Centers we understand that you demand zero defects and failures. Our team of experts is always ready to deploy cutting-edge technology and expertise from design and concept to the final start up and operation at your facility.

Nalco programs are structured to help address your problems and issues with the following:

  • Data Center Design Support: Efficient, reliable design support
  • New Construction Phase (Start-Up & Commissioning): Best-In-Class procedures ensure longevity and no downtime
  • Data Center Best-In-Class Water System Specifications
  • 24/7/365 Remote monitoring and immediate guidance from team of technical experts
  • Compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations

Nalco’s unique solutions are backed by over 200 PhDs and years of R&D developing the most cutting edge offerings in the market. A summary of a number of our unique innovations are included below:

Cooling Systems: 3D TRASAR® Technology for Cooling Systems utilizes state-of-the-art monitoring/control equipment that ensures optimum water reuse in addition to preventing corrosion, scale, deposition and microbiological contamination. The result is maximum energy efficiency and cost savings. Backed by our Nalco 360™ Service, a monitoring and guidance smart system manned by technical experts 24/7, 365 days a year, you can be assured that you will receive efficient and quick responses to all system alarms.

Boiler Systems: 3D TRASAR Boiler Technology uses state-of-the-art monitoring/control equipment to ensure optimum water reuse in addition to preventing corrosion, scale and deposition in feedwater systems. The unique control aspects ensure pre-boiler corrosion is non-existent while the water-side internals of the boiler are maintained deposit-free.

Green Water Treatment: Facilities are pressured more and more to be “Green”. Nalco follows a prioritized mechanical, operational and chemical solution approach to reduce chemical use and develop a green water treatment program. Using unique mechanical devices and alternative water sources (i.e. grey water reuse, system blowdown water, etc…) to increase system efficiency and reduce your water/energy/carbon footprint.

Facility Education Programs: Develop your own training program for managers and operators from the following three options:

  • Workshops: Developed to learn among peers in your industry along with Nalco’s industry experts
  • Technical training: Focused training sessions on areas of your choice
  • Nalco Customer University: On-line courses that follow a personal long-term training plan.

Pathogen Risk Management: Nalco Environmental Hygiene Services performs risk management consultation for both water and air handling systems, identifying high risk areas for Legionella outbreaks. In addition, emergency remediation for any outbreaks are available through this group.

Water Reduction Programs: We understand the primary issues impacting your water systems, and we offer a variety of water reuse programs to suit your needs. Previous projects that have been implemented across multiple industries include:

  • Grey Water Reuse for towers and boilers
  • Recycling air handler condensation
  • Boiler and cooling water blowdown recycle
  • Zero-Discharge power plants

Water reduction programs allow Nalco to leverage world-class technical and research resources. This capability allows us to ensure the highest return on investment for each project.

Sustainable Solutions: Whether your campus pursues L.E.E.D.® certification, ENERGY STAR® status or any other sustainable goals, Nalco Sales Engineers are available to provide guidance about how our programs can compliment these initiatives. Our in-house L.E.E.D.-AP engineers are also available with a wide array of services.

Indoor Air Quality Programs: From sick building syndrome to reducing air handler energy costs, Environmental Hygiene Consultants are ready to help you improve your indoor environment and effectively reduce facility risk. These programs compliment water-side heat transfer programs developing a full Air Handler Maintenance program unmatched within the industry. Combining high efficiency filtration, (typically a three to four month payback on energy costs) and our patented COIL-FLO® cleaning services, fans and air coils are returned to their original design efficiencies. This reduces hot/cold calls while providing efficiency and a reduced carbon footprint for building managers.
