NALMET® Technology
Increasing environmental concerns of heavy metal discharge have continued to fuel tightening regulatory permits. Additionally, discharge fines and public relations are a top priority for both metal and non-metal industries such as chemical processing and refineries.With these concerns in mind, Nalco has developed the NALMET Heavy Metal Removal Programme.
The NALMET Programme is a proprietary, patented technology of Nalco. NALMET technology can be used across a broad range of industries and applications, removing a wide range of metals from wastewater. The NALMET Programme are designed to improve your environmental conformance, while helping you conserve resources and lowering your total costs of operation.
NALMET programme are targeted at effluents, which must comply with increasingly tighter standards for low level metals discharge. Applications can include treatment of:
- Metal plating or surface finishing process wastewater
- Metals from incidental corrosion
- Incinerator or scrubber water
- Flue gas condensate
- Groundwater
- Wastewater from metal-catalyzed or metal handling processes
- Cooling water blowdown.
