Nalco offers a line of foamers that remove water buildup in wells in order to improve or even reinstate production. They can increase daily gas volumes, extend the asset decline curve and substantiate asset longevity.
Our foamers are multifaceted products that also aid in corrosion, scale and salt inhibition. They reduce the rate of corrosion by heavily obstructing the water buildup in the well. Customers have enjoyed a notable reduction in emulsion tendencies in wells treated with foamers as well as a 70% reduction in chemical pump fuel costs.
In conjunction with Nalco's efforts to develop specialized products for each customer's well, a number of treatments are available. The most frequently used products include foamers for continuous injection used for liquid unloading issues and salt depositions, and foamers for batch treatments on wells with loading issues.
Foamers serve as an artificial lift mechanism. Even gas wells that do not currently need foamers can benefit from the treatment as a preventative measure against future problems
Our SCI-FOAM technology and treatment program is designed to increase or regain gas production in maturing wells with increasing water cuts. We have drawn from our extensive knowlege in surfactant and interfacial chemistry to develop products that serve an artificial lift function in the well.
