Health & Wellness

Nalco Energy Services Biking Team Nalco provides plans to help you maintain and improve your health and well-being and protect your finances against the unexpected curves life throws your way. Despite escalating costs, our health care plans continue to offer coverage at a cost that would be difficult to match on your own.

Medical

Nalco offers medical plans designed to protect you and your family against extraordinary medical expenses. There are a range of options available including prescription drug coverage.

Dental

You may choose dental coverage for yourself or your family under the BlueCross/BlueShield(BCBS) Dental PPO Plan.

Vision

You may choose vision coverage for yourself or your family through the Vision Service Plan (VSP).

Life & Disability Insurance

Basic Life Insurance: You would receive a basic level of life insurance equal to 2 times your annual pay.

Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D): You would receive a basic level of accidental death and dismemberment insurance equal to 2 times your annual pay.
Optional Employee Life Insurance and Optional AD&D Insurance: You can purchase optional life insurance coverage equal to an additional 1–5 times your annual pay.
Optional Dependent Life Insurance: You can purchase optional dependent life insurance for your spouse and children
Travel Accident Insurance: You are eligible for a coverage amount of $250,000.
Short-Term Disability: The Short-Term Disability (STD) benefits are designed to replace a portion of your income if you are disabled for up to 6 months at no cost to you.
Long-Term Disability: If illness or injury prevents you from working more than 26 weeks, basic long-term disability coverage will continue to replace 60% of your base pay (up to a maximum of $15,000 per month). You also have the option to purchase additional long-term disability coverage of 6-2/3%—for a combined total of 66-2/3% of your pay. You must enroll for this additional coverage—it is not automatic.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Health Care Spending Account: The Health Care Flexible Spending Account is a voluntary benefit option designed to help you pay, on a pre-tax basis, unreimbursed eligible health care expenses up to a specified annual limit.
Dependent Care Spending Account: The Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account is a voluntary benefit designed to help you pay, on a pre-tax basis, the expenses of hiring someone to care for your eligible dependents while you (or your spouse, if you are married) work or while your spouse attends school full-time.
Health Savings Account: If you elect our BCBS PPO Silver Medical Plan, you would be eligible for the Health Savings Account. This plan is designed to combine the lower premium costs and higher deductibles of the PPO Silver Plan with the longer-term savings benefits of the Health Savings Account.

Wellness Program

The Be Well Program is a wellness initiative to encourage healthy behaviors in our employees and provide them with the tools necessary to make more informed decisions to reduce risk and improve overall health.

All employees are encouraged to participate in webinars, e-mails, newsletters, wellness fairs and various activities throughout the year that provide educational materials and resources on a variety of wellness topics such as health, financial and mental wellbeing. All activities in the wellness program are voluntary and are provided to help you improve health and enjoy a better quality of life.
For employees enrolled in a Nalco US medical plan, the wellness program offers incentives to help you save money on your medical premiums.
Employees and their dependents (18 years and older enrolled in a Nalco US medical plan) also have access to an online wellness portal featuring personal wellness assessments, healthy living programs, health coaching, disease management and fun, interesting ways to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle .
