Sci-Foam™ Gas Well Deliquification Technology

The Sci-Foam technology and treatment program is designed to increase or regain gas production in maturing wells with increasing water cuts. We have drawn from our extensive technology background in surfactant and interfacial chemistry to develop Sci-Foam products that serve an artificial lift function in the well. By bringing liquid to the surface in wells with very low operating pressures, Sci-Foam technology increases daily gas volumes, extends the asset decline curve, improves consistency in well production, and revives non-producing wells.

Nalco is an industry leader in proactively addressing the critical issues that oil and gas producers face throughout the lifecycle of a well. We have drawn on our worldwide experience in infrastructure protection and production maximization to develop the Sci-Foam treatment program. Let us show you how this program can help extend your gas production and enhance your bottom line.

5 Step Process

In order to unleash an asset’s profit potential and optimize the Sci-Foam treatment program, Nalco scientists and field engineers have developed an innovative 5-step treatment process. This process methodically examines each field with the goal of overcoming its most difficult treatment and production challenges.

The 5-step process includes:

  1. A thorough analysis of production data
  2. An assessment of the potential benefits a Sci-Foam technology application might provide
  3. A ranking of wells by production improvement potential
  4. Selecting and applying the most appropriate chemical solution
  5.  Monitoring production and key performance indicators (KPIs), and making any necessary treatment adjustments
