KHIs (Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitors)
Nalco has made significant improvements to our KHI (kinetic hydrate inhibitor) line over the past few years. Our latest KHI is fully commercialized and provides higher subcooling capability with longer hold times under more extreme conditions than our previous generation KHI. This allows us to treat more aggressive hydrate conditions and/or treat at lower dose rates compared to the previous generation chemistry.
Nalco also recognized the need for a KHI with high temperature stability and higher TDS tolerance to deal with many new projects coming online that have such conditions. Nalco has responded to this need and developed a KHI that is high temperature compatible (>100oC) and provides higher TDS tolerance (up to 15%) while maintaining performance gains achieved with our new KHI chemistry.
