Nalco has also developed two new AA (anti-agglomerate) products that provide performance in higher water cut applications, improved low TDS tolerance, and step change improvement in water quality. Traditionally AAs have been used on start-up and shut in conditions only, due to the process upsets caused by poor water quality. Our new AA technology now provides customers with an AA that can be used continuously without water quality problems.
Both new AA chemistries push the performance envelope (higher water cut performance, lower TDS requirements, improved water quality). However, Nalco went a step beyond to offer one of our AA in a methanol free package to help our customer’s meet pipeline crude oil specifications. Our methanol free AA allows customer’s more operational freedom without the concern of costly fines breaking methanol specifications in delivered crude.
