Fracturing Additives
Hydraulic fracturing is the application of fluid pressure to a desired section of the formation until rock parting occurs. With continued pumping of fluid, the fracture continues to extend into the formation. This new larger and longer flow channel increases the effective permeability of the reservoir, thereby allowing greater fluid flow to the well bore. Fracturing additives include:
