Supply Chain Expands Process Safety Management Training
The Nalco Supply Chain organization recently continued its 2009 process safety project plan by expanding process safety management training to North American manufacturing.
Process Safety Management (PSM) training was given to two North American manufacturing groups, one in Freeport, Texas and one in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Both classes were well received, with active participation, and were unique in that they were made up of students from plants that are both regulated under OSHA PSM 1910.119 and those that were not.
The training was a valuable exchange of ideas to combine requirements under the OSHA standard with the 20 elements of Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) Risk Based Process Safety.
