How is Nalco Unique? A Perspective from Nalco's CMO

"I chose Nalco because I wanted a people-oriented job like sales, but one that I could still use my technical degree in chemistry. Nalco was a great balance. When asked how Nalco is unique from other companies, I reply that it's because of our focus on the expertise of our 7,000 sales engineers working at customer sites and our advanced, innovative technology. Together, we solve customers’ water, energy and air challenges in industrial processes. No other company has the global reach and breadth of Nalco. My career with Nalco started in sales in what would today be called Downstream Energy Services located in Texas.  I then joined the Water marketing team early in my career and worked in various areas of marketing including product innovation and industry development. I was promoted to General Manager and operated North American and global business units for light and heavy industries.  I then transitioned to projects in our order-to-cash process, IT department and corporate strategy. These experiences provided me a broader perspective outside of sales and marketing roles.  As Division President and now as CMO, I am a member of the Executive Committee, which exposes me to all aspects of Nalco. Every day is new, challenging and exciting, whether it’s launching a new technology, managing a business during a global economic downturn or opening a new regional office in China – nothing ever stays the same!"
